This bath room was completely remodeled. We designed a large walk in shower and moved the toilet into a linen closet that we opened up from the other side. This created a wide open feel and easy access into the room. The handcrafted wall tiles add a soft mediterranean feel to the shower and the wide planked ceramic tiles that resemble an antique wood floor add a warm touch.
We chose beautifully handmade tiles for the shower. The walls are divided by a wainscot consisting of 3×6 crackled subway tiles in a sweet cream color and the top adds interest with the soft watercolor blue-green hexagon tile. The fixtures are a contrasting oil rubbed bronze giving the space a mediterranean feel.
We installed a seat on the opposite side of the shower fixtures, along with a handy soap niche. The top of the seat is made out of a matching piece of quartz. This allows for better water proofing a drainage.
The floating cabinet is the right mix of clean lines with a traditional touch. All hardware is kept in the oil rubbed bronze. In order to continue the color scheme of soft creams and greens, we choose the same cream colored quartz for the counter and a soft green paint color on the walls.
Modern elements like the fixtures, the floating cabinet and the pristine medicine cabinet are relaxed by soft hues of cream and greens and the use of dark bronzed fixtures.
Overall, the bathroom reminds you of a soft cloud. It feels pleasant and dreamy to be in with a touch of luxurious old world vibe.
