We created this bright and white kitchen by removing a wall that separated the original kitchen from the dining room. The once confined, rather dark space opened up in a comfortable, cheery, bright and white room that encompasses contemporary comfort with a modern aesthetic edge.
“Design is making beauty. Beauty emerges from selection, affinities, integration, care.” Louis Kahn
The clean lines of the white cabinets dominate the design and the Calacatta marble counter adds to the fresh look. This Quartz version of the Calacatta marble captures the flowing beauty of the distinct grey/brown pattern with grace and certainty.
Bold stainless steel appliances bring strength and importance to the design and the tall, industrial faucet creates a focal point in front of the bay window and complimenting the clean lines of the stainless steel apron front sink.
The austerity of all white is softened by he pearlescent glass tile of the back splash that introduces a touch of glam and dazzle, which creates the unique look of purity and creativity.
The white washed wood floors are a reminder that this kitchen is influenced by beach living and they add a casual touch to the pristine environment.
The fireplace was faced with the same glass tile as the kitchen, however we used the honed finish and it provides the perfect back drop for the slightly retro feel of the living room.
I love the pop of the joyful and happy orange lounge chair, inviting others to sit down for social interaction and communication.
Overall this pristine and peaceful kitchen seamlessly combines contemporary lines with artistic touches to create this stylish and unique look.
