Mindful, elegant and incredibly soothing, this bathroom exudes peace , tranquility and relaxation. The beautiful grey/white color scheme evokes a sense of stability, balance and a touch of solitude. The black clawfoot tub serves as a focal point to the space and it adds a nice contrast to the room. The black etagere balances the power of the bath tub and the wonderful crystal chandelier gives the room a touch of old world glam.
The white built in cabinet with the grey quartz counter complement the elegance of the space. The shimmering hardware adds a bit of sparkle and life to the overall gentle color scheme. Surrounding colors reflect in the shiny silver handles and take on the spirit of the room.
The pattern play of various versions of the Carrara marble tile add rhythm and balance to the large walk in shower. 2″ hexagon tiles grace the floor, while the wainscot made up of 3×6 horizontal tiles offer a grounding presence to the lively basketweave above. The fun rain shower head completes the spa like look and feel of the shower experience.
Reminiscent of old times, the exquisite black clawfoot tub along with the beautiful old world tub fill serves as the centerpiece of the space. It encourages an unplugged state of mind while taking a long soak in the generous depth of the bath tub.
The color scheme continues into the adjacent bedroom. The basketweave creates an interesting juxtaposition to the simple mantel and the soothing grey colored wall.
The mindful, balanced and soothing color scheme is further carried around the room. Within the neutral palette, Karen, from Karen Wittich designs expertly chose window coverings, furnishings and beddings to create interest with pattern and mixed hues of warm and cool grays.
The same soothing color scheme also carried into the laundry room. Once more, reminiscent of the old world times, the black cast iron laundry sink serves as a fun focal point against the warm grey hued subway tile. Ample cabinets in white add functionality and to the room.
Overall, the over reaching neutral grey toned color scheme creates a tranquil, composed and peaceful feeling in every room.
